Healthy catering

In an effort to achieve better health for the community, Gateway Health in conjunction with Wodonga Council has partnered with our local caterers and hospitality sector to begin looking at what healthy food options are on offer for workplaces and the broader community.

The Wodonga Healthy Catering Guide includes menus of five local food businesses that provide healthy food options as caterers. Menus have been assessed against Nutrition Australia’s benchmarking system – the Victorian Healthy Choices Guidelines. These are Guidelines based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines that are presented as a ‘traffic light’ system.

Local businesses included in the Guide are:

  • Bean Tree Central
  • Border Catering
  • Café Grove
  • Nutrition Station; and,
  • Yums Food Bar

We are looking to engage more local caterers to get involved as part of the next edition of the Guide. To express your interest in becoming involved, please contact Megan Hunt, Health Promotion Coordinator at Gateway Health today at megan.hunt@gatewayhealth.org.au.
