Farm gate sales

Farm gate sales are an opportunity to buy direct from the farmer.

They are similar to accredited farmers’ markets only you go to the farm gate and select or pick your own produce.

Wodonga is well placed in North East Victoria and is surrounded by an abundance of farms for meat, poultry, dairy, fruit and vegetables.

From fruit and olive picking to farm fresh eggs, and visiting the region’s wineries; not only can it be a great family day out you also get some terrific produce to enjoy.

The North East Produce Guide has been developed to connect consumers, farmers and retailers together. The ghe Guide is easy to use and focuses on supporting our regional food system – Albury, Wodonga and North East Victoria.

It supports keeping profits in the local community and connection communities through helping create a vibrant food culture.

If you are a producer, it is free to register yourself and be involved.

If you are a producer and wish to advertise yourself, simply email info@wlfn.com.au.

We would love to help connect you to customers.

Across the border in Thurgoona, you can buy direct from the specialist 400-acre Riverina Institute  National Environment Centre run by TAFE NSW.

It teaches students and holds open days to demonstrate sustainable local food production systems.

It supplies the public with seasonal produce grown at the centre at the Green Gate Organic Farm Gate Shop.

For more information, visit the centre’s Facebook page.
