The Wodonga Local Food Network, in conjunction with Gateway Health and Wodonga Council supports breastfeeding as an integral start to life.

The Breastfeeding Journey map is a handy resource to support mothers through the stages of breastfeeding.

The Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA) is the leading source of breastfeeding information and support in Australia.
There is a local Albury-Wodonga group people can join to take part in breastfeeding education classes, meet new people, connect with breastfeeding volunteers or hire breast pumps. They can be contacted through their Facebook page or via email at abaalburywodonga@gmail.com.

ABA’s national breastfeeding helpline is 1800 mum 2 mum (1800 686 268).
Wodonga Council’s Maternal and Child Health (MCH) service also supports new mums with key age and stage visits .

The MCH line (13 22 29) provides 24-hour phone advice, support, counselling and referral to families with children from birth to school-age (note: this is not an emergency service).
Breastfeeding facilities in public places from cafes to libraries, and at workplaces is increasingly becoming more convenient, comfortable and acceptable.
